Eligible seniors residing in REV\u2019s service regions are encouraged to apply\u00a0<\/span>online<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0before the March 26 deadline.<\/span><\/p>\n The REV scholarship program provides students with financial assistance to cover college expenses such as tuition, room and board, books and more throughout their years of study \u2013 lessening the financial burdens and barriers often encountered during college.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs our company celebrates 90 years of service, we are excited to expand the scholarship program this year to all of our service regions, recognizing more students for their academic achievements,\u201d said Josh Descant, REV\u2019s CEO. \u201cREV remains committed to supporting education in the communities we serve and investing in the next generation of leaders \u2013 especially through this generations-spanning scholarship program.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The REV academic scholarship program, founded in 1984 in the provider\u2019s Bayou Region, has awarded 237 scholarships totaling $970,000. This year, the total awarded amount will cross a $1 million milestone \u2013 marking the company\u2019s 90-year celebration and continued dedication to education.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe students we meet every year never cease to amaze members of our selection committee \u2013 moving our team with their impressive dedication to academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and community involvement,\u201d said Peter Louviere, REV\u2019s CFO. \u201cFurther, it\u2019s an incredible joy when we get the chance to witness many of these students returning home and investing back into their local communities after college graduation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Eligibility, criteria, and considerations for REV\u2019s scholarship program include being a current REV residential customer in good standing, residing in a REV service area, cumulative grade point average (GPA), American College Testing (ACT) scores, financial need, demonstrated leadership, and community involvement.
